vacation, here we come!

Very excited, because tomorrow boyfriend and I leave for our very first vacation together! Okay well, technically second. We took a long weekend trip to San Diego about a year and a half ago. Unbeknownst to us at the time, I was actually dying (okay, slight exaggeration but it got really, really bad) from a kidney infection the whole time. We came home and I immediately landed in the hospital. So it kind of stinks that we can't think about that vacation without associating it with me being incredibly ill. Except now, instead of being sick, I am very pregnant! Ah, one of these days we'll get it right.

We are headed to New York to visit my side of the family, which I am very much looking forward to. I last saw my family in March, but I was only 12 weeks. This week will be 27 weeks, so they are in for a real treat. I had no belly whatsoever in March. Now we are about to enter waddling territory! This is the first grandchild for my parents, so I'm pretty sure my mom might be slightly more excited to see my belly than me. Also exciting is that this is boyfriend's first REAL trip to NY (besides a BMX tournament when he was a wee one). I can't wait to drag him everywhere in the Hudson Valley and New York City. 

Here's to 5 hour flights across 4 time zones with limited leg room! See you on the East Coast!
